The Braided River publishing page has been edited in an attempt to make it more neutral. I removed discussions of individual campaigns so that it doesn't look like books are being advertised. I think Braided River is a significant publishing company if only because Seasons of Life and Land, by Subhankar Banerjee, had important involvement in affecting legislation involving drilling for oil in Alaska. Since publishing Seasons of Life and Land, Braided River has continued to be a significant partner of wilderness preservation organizations throughout the country. Many of its books have won awards from publishing organizations and the photographers that work with Braided River are notable and award winning on their own.
