hang on, please! Billbrock 00:56, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Broadway is probably one of the 30 most important streets in Chicago...doesn't have an entry. Billbrock 00:56, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

common mistake[edit]

Broadway is one of the few streets that does not have a suffix. It is called BROADWAY, not BROADWAY STREET or BROADWAY AVENUE. This is probably do to the fact that WAY was the "original" suffix, i.e. NORTH BROAD WAY. The city (or its contractors) has apparently even made this common mistake, as you can find on some street signs the suffix covered over with green paint. J. Crocker 19:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Therefore the article caption should be corrected. Wbkelley (talk) 07:42, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The above comment is correct. It is called Broadway, not Broadway Street. This should be corrected in the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.192.176.30 (talk) 01:26, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
