Verterae[edit]

The article explains Verterae as meaning "The Forts". No similar word occurs in Lewis and Short nor the Trinityx St David Welsh dictionary. Whence is this translation? Deipnosophista (talk) 09:47, 30 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

No information from the CCHT link has been put into the body of the article in the form of citations because it has not yet been verified for 100% accuracy by the Victoria County History project for Cumbria.
