Why poloidal[edit]

Uh, why poloidal instead of toroidal? (talk) 22:35, 13 August 2010 (UTC)

The difference is explained in toroidal and poloidal. --Epipelagic (talk) 23:00, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
Agreed the direction of rotation is poloidal, but the mathematical shape (assuming perfection) is still a toroid. --Wally Tharg (talk) 10:15, 9 August 2012 (UTC)

Other uses of the term[edit]

This should definitely be a separate page, instead of an addition to the bottom. ShadowPhox (talk) 00:23, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
