Citation?[edit]

"The scope of the "red" (Communist) kapos was narrow. They were always under threat of being stripped of their responsibilities and of being killed. Nonetheless, as prisoner functionaries, they had a certain mobility and freedom of action, which they used, in whatever means possible, to preserve the lives of other prisoners. The main area of the red kapos' work was in the "office of the labor statistics", the camp infirmary and as camp guard surrogates."

What is meant by anti-fascists?[edit]

Does anti-fascist here mean "people opposed to fascism" or members of the communist organization that is today called antifa? You should clarify what you mean. Also, where in the heck is the citation for this paragraph? Comiscuous (talk) 00:37, 28 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

story of final days[edit]

"On April 11, 1945, in expectation of liberation, starved and emaciated prisoners stormed the watchtowers". An article today in The Times of Israel says that this version is a myth created in East Germany and that in fact the SS guards had left.
