erm.. .to what standards exactly does this full of claims, poorly written article, conform? (149.241.125.229 (talk) 13:25, 17 February 2014 (UTC))[reply]

Yeah, article is bad, because few sources are mentioned, but most claims are not specific to Bulgarian yogurt, but for yogurt in general and they are definitely true. Most Bulgarian yogurt is made from cow milk and taste isn't much different than other yogurts. But Bulgarian sheep yogurt (and goat) is definitely different and tastes unique due to the pastures which are not just grass, but many different herbs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.72.183.114 (talk) 03:59, 1 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's either been written by a proud Bulgarian, a Bulgarian with a book or a Bulgarian company. It's almost cute that they think people will believe them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 211.30.173.99 (talk) 12:22, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merge discussion[edit]

Merge to yogurt. No argument needed. --176.239.126.47 (talk) 17:37, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. Also need to remove copyvios. --Macrakis (talk) 18:16, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Merger done. I tried to see what content should be merged into yogurt, and I didn't find anything. Then I realized that this article is simply promoting Bulgarian yogurt starter culture companies.
The primary reference is on http://www.lbbulgaricum.bg/, the Web site of L B Bulgaricum, a company which sells yogurt starter culture: "Leading companies in various countries of the world produce the famous Bulgarian yoghurt, which is a symbol of health and longevity, by using LB Bulgaricum Plc. original starter cultures."[1]. The first external link is dead. The second external link is a press-release article about LB Bulgaricum in Japan: "LB Bulgaricum and Japanese company Meiji Dairies are working successfully on three licensing contracts for the development of dairy produce based on sour bacteria, the ministry stated." The third external link is a press-release article about Lactina in China: "Georgi Georgiev, general manager of Lactina Ltd., a large private Bulgarian manufacturer of starters, told Xinhua that its Chinese partner Zhejiang Shangzheng Commerce and Trade and Walmart China would jointly open 852 shops for Bulgarian yogurt by the end of 2014."
None of this is suitable for the yogurt article. --Macrakis (talk) 15:44, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
