Naming[edit]

The naming is wrong!, it should be dodecaboranate. Boranates are anions of boranes, whereas borates are the name for a large number of boron-containing oxyanions. --Sami Lab (talk) 15:33, 25 November 2014 (UTC)

You're probably correct in an official sense, but I dont think that many chemists use that terminology. --Smokefoot (talk) 00:07, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

Moving the article to dodecaborate[edit]

It has been suggested that we might move this article to dodecaborate, which is currently the redirect. In this way, the anion becomes the focus. We wouldnt change the content very much.
