Notability Explanation and Disagreement about Merging and / or Deletion

The "Clans" in Vampire are equivalent to the character classes in Dungeons and Dragons, they are NOT just a story element. As wiki deems fit to allow the character classes of Dungeons and Dragons to have their own articles (Bard (Dungeons & Dragons), etc), there is no reason why the "character classes" of another exceedingly popular pen-and-paper RPG are not notable enough to have their own articles. Even more so since they ARE both Character Classes AND major elements of the story.

In addition, considering the large amounts of background info and game-based info on each of the clans, it is NOT feasible to merge them all into one article. In fact, if we were to do so the resulting article would be too big and then go against Wiki standards.

Please stop listing all Vampire:The Masquerade articles as non-notable.Flygongengar (talk) 20:33, 11 April 2009 (UTC)

Anyone have a larger / better quality of the Pander Symbol?

Can someone re-write / paraphrase the Caitifff and Pander histories?

What's currently there sounds like direct quotes from source books (anyone know if this is true)? In any case, the sections shouldn't be deleted. So if someone can just put the histories into their own words. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.190.34.219 (talk) 07:02, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Removed the last line of Paragraph 3

"Storytellers, however, often frown upon Catiff characters choosing the unique disciplines of established Clans (e.g. Thanatosis)."

This is not only highly speculative and vague, but runs counter to the suggestion in Time of Thin Blood that describes certain thin blooded Caitiff as developing highly unusual powers that seem to mimic extinct disciplines like Malificia (from the Dark Ages Companion) or rare ones such as Thanatosis. This is not a case where Caitiff characters can spontaneously develop special clan disciplines, but rather where Storytellers can use unusual disciplines as a way to highlight the strange powers Caitiff often develop without having to create a new discipline from scratch. In essence, the Caitiff is creating a new discipline, just using the mechanics from an existing one as a template.

In any case, stating what many storytellers frown upon is not only unverifiable but it's not really within the scope of the article. It sounds more like a personal preference or a suggestion on how Caitiff should be portrayed than a recounting of the available information.
