Greens open English, Bloc the French[edit]

I think the Greens open the English debates, and the Bloc the French debates. This seems to be switched around on the page. Can someone check this?

Exclusion of Bloc?[edit]

The page says "some commentators" have argued that the Bloc should be excluded from the English debates on the basis that they don't run candidates outside Quebec. It doesn't say who, but I doubt anybody respectable would say that. I wonder how voters would have felt in 1997 if the Official Opposition, the Bloc, had been excluded from the debates.

Unless that's attributed soon so we can know who the lunatics are, it should be removed.

Also, it wouldn't make sense to exclude them only from the English debate: many Quebecers are anglophones with Bloc candidates in their ridings, and even francophones listen to the English debate through interpreters. The only thing that would make sense would be to exclude them from both. 67.150.244.234 (talk) 06:54, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Historical Debates[edit]

This page could really use some info on leaders' debates pre-2005. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.247.194.142 (talk) 20:38, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inclusion criteria[edit]

Can someone improve the Inclusion Criteria section? Ideally, it would be good to see a historical chart showing when certain criteria were present, and when they ended. But in the short term, a simple bullet-point list of current (and historical) criteria would be nice. I find the wall of text that is currently there to be confusing and unhelpful. 24.57.220.238 (talk) 02:00, 17 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
