Spelling error

There is a spelling mistake in the Capability Maturity Model Integration Diagram - it reads quantitaVIely and should read quantitatively. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 193.109.254.21 (talk) 16:37, 8 February 2011 (UTC)

No Help

This article really didn't help me understand what CMMI is. Trideceth12 (talk) 08:15, 12 October 2013 (UTC)

Agree I feel that the various levels should be described in more detail, while now there is just the image with rather terse indications and the lists of process areas which lack any definition (and just repeat Process area (CMMI) and so are of little value). It may be that there are massive checklists, but the sort of answer I would like would describe how one might in five minutes get a first impression of which level an organisation operates on: what features does the organisation have, what does it do, does it have dedicated CMMI staff and processes, etc. and above all: what distinguishes it from one at a different level? Thank you for creating this CMMI explanation

This wiki on CMMI is extremely valuable, thank you. Years ago a govt department paid $1,500 each for me and my project colleagues to attend a day course on CMMI - and I was just the technical writer on a project. CMMI is a MARVELLOUS way to establish such good order and process in an organisation that it can be the stand-or-fall competitive advantage. As a contractor I've worked in scores of companies and govt depts. In the shambles ones I witnessed bankruptcy, high staff turnover, drug abuse and staff suicide. In the well organised ones I saw pride, joy, health and success in the staff, as well as happy customers and broader community. Thank you again for putting this together for everyone to have and use. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.75.91.176 (talk) 18:44, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

Words fail me; I am among those who think this article gives very little idea of what CMMI involves or offers, as mentioned in various other sections. PJTraill (talk) 09:54, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

Why sometimes spelt with lowercase ‘i’?

I observe that a number of people spell it as ‘CMMi’, but that this seems to be considered wrong by the majority; a clarification would be useful, but I have found nothing so far on the internet. PJTraill (talk) 09:54, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

P.S. I posed the question at http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_do_some_people_spell_CMMI_with_the_last_letter_lowercase, but have no idea if that is a useful site, though at least WOT is happy with it. PJTraill (talk) 10:00, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
I have since heard that some people use a lowercase ‘i’ because ‘Integration’ was added to the name later. PJTraill (talk) 23:05, 24 April 2014 (UTC)
