Almost definitely - his style lends itself perfectly to that kind of topic and I have found other 2000 AD artists in the RPGDB, He has also worked for White Dwarf which means he'd have plenty of contacts. So add it in. (Emperor (talk) 04:04, 26 September 2008 (UTC))[reply]

I'd go with them barring any objections - they are all unusual enough names that it is unlikely there would be two doing similar things and RPG work is often a good staple for comics artists as they get to do a picture unhindered by frames but the comic work means they have a lot of practice getting characters and poses right so it works out for everyone. I have added the RPGDB to other pages, like Frazer Irving and seems reliable (as far as such things go - I've found misattributions in 2000 AD's own database so the original work has to be the final, definitive source but it seems a reasonable guide to their work). Category:Dungeons & Dragons artists[edit]

Hi. I've been going through artists in the above list, for the most part onyl to the often ommited Fantasy artists cat (which usually crosses over - D&D illustrations may be counted as fantasy art for this purpose). However, on a few pages I've come across in the list, the actual article contains no cited work for the game. So, could whoever added the cat also add some substantiation to the article to justify the artist's presence in that list - particualrly important if someone comes to the page from the category looking for the reference to D&D work. . . Restructuring[edit]

I've been making a few additions to the page, and whilst I was doing o I noticed that the structure is a bit strange. For a start, there are two sections both called bibliography, which is unprecendented and confusing. In the absence of any actual (personal) biographical information, I wanted to reorder the article as follows, but thought I would raise it here first as it is a major change:

  • Intro - summary of the content and notability of the article
  • Career - general chronological account of his career so far, including White Dwarf tenure, Games Workshop, work for 2000AD and Wizards, etc.
  • Style - all the notes on style and critique currently appearing under developing style, collected together in a single section.
  • Bibliography - the actal bibliography (an article cannot have two sections with the same name)
  • References
  • External links
  • Categories

There is also a big interview with Carl Critchlow in Judge Dredd Megazine #260, I don't have it but it should be really useful in fleshing out the article if you can get your hands on a copy (I know the interviewer has put others online so I'll have a look around for it and might see if I can't track him down to suggest he might want to put this up too)> (Emperor (talk) 14:39, 13 October 2009 (UTC))[reply]
Well, that was quite a job but I've gone ahead and done it. Generally I've made sure nothing is lost, although I did remove some reduntant POV. Much of the article, however, remains uncited (I may be able to provide a bit more concerning contribs to games, principally using some web searching). Other than that I thought the page was very weirdly organised, with an over proliferation of sections, and info crossing over from one section to the next and unclear distictions between sections, so I've followed more conventional guidelines on structure. Also, I moved Wikilinks from the intro to the main text, and removed tons of reduntant overlinking (see WP:AUW) - basically, if a name or title is linked once in the text, it needn't be linked again. And I introduced cite templates where they were missing. Lastly, although it borders on a matter of personal taste, I have replaced the '#' marks used for issue numbers with the actual word 'issue': although #s are common in comicdom, I think the use of the word is a tad cleaner.
