Georgetown and Notre Dame[edit]

What the hell is the point of this article if it doesn't list famous Catholic institutions like Georgetown University or the University of Notre Dame? This article is laughably useless. john k (talk) 05:08, 6 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Opposition to Catholic universities[edit]

There are many urban legends about Catholic universities, which maintain that the notion of a Catholic university is an oxymoron. This should maybe be explored in the content of the article. [1] ADM (talk) 15:38, 18 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Title: lower or upper case?[edit]

I agree and have made the move. This article is not the proper name of a specific university, but a type of category of university, and as such should be titled "Catholic university" (like "Catholic school") rather than "Catholic University". —Lowellian (reply) 01:18, 6 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Catholic university → Catholic higher education – Broader spectra since not all Catholic institutes of higher education are classified as universities, for instance Catholic Institute of Paris, etc. If necessary subsequent to move, a little altering of the content would do.
