Location

In the original Celebrity DeathMatch took place in Hollywood(as seen during the opening scene.) The new Celebrity DeathMatch apparently takes place in or around New Jersey( as seen Season 6 Episode 1 when Wilmer Valderrama fought Nick Cannon. Wilmer took off his cloths and the paparazzi took pictures of him, and the flashes could be seen from space.)Altough tihs go against a previous statement from Mills Lane during the fight between Bam Margera and Tony Hawk. Bam barfed on Mills Lane and he said "Still beats working in Jersey."

?

i dont think the characters look original anymore. ex:Nicole Richie looks like the Olsen twins with the weird eyeshadow and other facial and shape.(anerexic)

Episodes

The list of episodes is just to long to be in this article.Im moving it. Warning: Do not delete someones list because its not fair.Favi4et 13:52, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

Mills Lane still doing the voiceover

From the Mills Lane page - " Lane suffered a debilitating stroke in 2002 which left him partially paralyzed. He still has a great deal of difficulty speaking." - In light of this, is he still doing the voiceover, or has he recovered sufficiently to continue providing the voice? 84.67.63.180 18:47, 9 November 2005 (UTC)

I don't think so. The voice in the new episodes sounds like a bad impression of him. - Ouzo 16:33, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
Mills is not doing his own voice. He is still trying to get over his stroke, and someone else is doing him on the show. PYLrulz 11:40, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Sixth season

When does the sixth season is going to be aired.User:Alfredosolis

Question

What you mean with "it is now back on the air"? are they showing new episodes or only reruns?

Judging from the looks of it, reruns. It'd be highly unorthodox for them to resurrect it. 4.225.17.112 08:40, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
Ressurection, but a new style. It is now in the article. They better do a good job of it. Jackpot Den 16:58, 3 June 2006 (UTC)

Another Question

A character named "Marv Albert" was featured in the first few episodes of Celebrity Deathmatch. I imagine this character was based off the real Marv Albert, although I am not sure if he himself did the voice or not. He was my favorite character without a doubt. He was dropped w/out explanation in the storyline, as far as I know. How come none of this was not mentioned in this article? And, why was none of this mentioned in the article about Marv Albert?

Fight Ideas

I got some great fight ideas. Here they are: Pamela Anderson Vs Anna Nicole Smith, Ice-T Vs Ice Cube Vs Vanilla Ice, Metallica Vs ACDC, Steven Speilburg Vs George Lucas, and Chris Rock Vs Eddie Murphey. WPDude123 19:45, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey how about Godzilla versus King Kong. Or steven Speilburg versus {Peter Jackson]].

This isnt a forum Nimrod1234 14:38, 13 June 2006 (UTC)

Sorry, I just wanted to share my ideas. WPDude123 15:05, 4 July 2006 (UTC) P.S. Hey Nimrod, can you tell me some more of your fight ideas? I've got another idea, Kurt Cobain Vs Tommy Lee.

I think the new fights should be George Lucas vs Peter Jackson,Johnny Depp vs Leonardo DiCaprio,George.W.Bush vs Michael Moore,Dave Chapelle vs Chris Rock,Mike Myers vs Will Farell,P.Diddy vs Prince and TomKat vs Brangelina.

New Season

I just saw the new season and noticed that the voices are different is veryone sure that there the same. Ecspecially Mills Lane. Nimrod1234 16:31, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

  • I was only able to get a brief glimpse at the end credits, but I think Johnny Gomez & Nick Diamond are now both being voiced by the same person. Also, TV.com says Chris Edgerly now provides the voice for both Nick Diamond and Mills Lane. Dr Archeville 20:42, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
  • The new show's claymation is horrible compared to the earlier seasons. Mouths don't match up with voices, less fluidity, etc. = Ouzo 04:33, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Should there be additional notes?

The episode list lacks information about subplots in the series.--67.164.215.114 08:34, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Trent Reznor vs. Puff Daddy

Are you sure that both of them should be considerd dead? They were looking and reacting to each other at the end. I believe this match should be a "No Winner/No Death". (Also, I believe Clair Danes didn't win her fight with Whoopi since she was made to confess, but maybe that just splitting hairs.--SleepyJean727 03:38, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Don't forget the fact that Mills Lane put them back together but in each had various parts of eachother's body parts. And as Nick Dimamond said about it: "Look, it's Puff Nails and Nine Inch Daddy".--67.164.215.114 05:05, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Replacements

Does anybody knows why the Maurice Schlafer and Len Maxwell were replaced by Jim Thornton and Chris Edgerly? I know Mills had a stroke so he can't voice himself anymore.

Yeah, when the guys who made the new season asked them, they didn't want to

merging thing

I really think that these two ariticles should not be merged, and for the Charles Manson V. Marlyn Mason thing to deleted. --Slash's snakepit 21:44, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Favorite Lines & Parts

I can't believe that Chris Farley died several times because his heart stopped! What happened to him?! He should've been on a strict diet! And Chris Farley's lines says: "Whats the matter? Cat Got Your Tongue? Let me help!". That was the best show ever. And Bono uses his finishing moves, except performing a donation season! He says like this: "Donate your spare feet in order to save lives!" and he says like this one: "I can save the World, but I need your help! We must rid the World Of Arms!" Did anyone watched that episode, because I did and it was hilarious and shows all the details they have. Best Gamer 31 July 2006

I know, sorry about that, but this show was fantasic I tell ya. User:Best Gamer\Best gamer 2 August 2006

Chappele vs Mencia

It was the #1 write-in for fights for the next season. I sure as hell wouldn't want to miss it. Link 486 9-27-06, 6:39 pm.

Hang on... why isn't this on the list for season 6?! It was already confirmed, so they're gonna do it! Link 486 @ 8:21 AM on January 29th, 2007.

Its starts at march 9th.

Line at the end

Towards the end of their aticle, there's a line that reads "In many cases, a celebrity that wins a deathmatch dies later on in real life." As a point of fact, all celebrities will die at some point. Someone should re-word that statement. 154.20.135.89 02:14, 19 October 2006 (UTC)

Youtube

All deathmatch videos were recently deleted of youtube.why?

Viacom started a crackdown and had YouTube remove pretty much every video with MTV as its source of origin.

Frequent Fighters

I was wondering if Whoopi Goldberg and Claire Danes would be counted as having two fights, though in one there was no winner. Kind of like this:

Fighter Number of Deathmatches Won Lost Other Notes
Whoopi Goldberg 2 1 ? She has defeated Robin Williams but there was no winner when she fought against Claire Danes.
Claire Danes 2 1 ? She has defeated Katie Holmes and Keri Russell (In a fight she wasn't in) but there was no winner when she fought against Whoopi Goldberg.

Clean-up

This article's been tagged for awhile about the quality clean-up, and in particular, the trivia section needs to be cleaned up. This article in particular is a start for guidelines on trivia clean-up. TheHornyBug 06:06, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Trivia

Do not remove the trivia anymore.R.Bobby

Trivia sections should not be included in articles. The trivia facts should either be integrated into the article or removed. Some of the trivia has already been mentioned in sections such as "Frequent Fighters" and "Celebrities Mysteriously Revived," while the rest has sat idly for months. Those idle pieces of trivia should be removed. If you would like to integrate some of the trivia into the article, we can preserve it on the talk page. I've added it below. Review the article WP:TRIV for any additional questions. TheHornyBug 03:06, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
I really hate to see the talk page cluttered with this drek simply to placate one editor. Most of the Trivia shown below is Original Research and shouldn't even be considered for the article or is simply recounting the details of one battle amongst dozens that have happened. CovenantD 09:40, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Agreed about the quality of the trivia, but it prevents the hassle of reverting edits that add it back. TheHornyBug 23:47, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
I think this article needs a patterns section and a small trivia section. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by R.bobby (talkcontribs) 06:22, 5 March 2007 (UTC).

Preserved Trivia

  • There have been two fights on the show between Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, each one with a different winner. Kobe won the original match (Shaq having his internal organs and an ear being cut off and used for basketball practice), but Shaq won the second one (Kobe's head and limbs being ripped off and used for basketball practice). Shaq and Kobe's fights are the only ever Celebrity Deathmatch "rematches" so far.
  • Don King has been killed five separate times on Celebrity Deathmatch on the first season.
  • Several patterns have emerged in Celebrity Deathmatch that can sometimes show who will win a match:
    • For example, in a fight between a living and dead (in real life) celebrity, the dead celebrity almost always wins. Exceptions include Benito Mussolini, Ernest Hemingway, Colonel Sanders and Albert Einstein.
    • All four active WWE wrestlers (i.e., active at the airing of the relevant episode) who have appeared in deathmatches have won — Stone Cold Steve Austin over WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, The Undertaker over "Captain Doody", Mick Foley as Mankind over Ernest Hemingway and Chyna over Albert Einstein.
    • When a deathmatch is between a country singer and someone else, the country singer often is the loser. Exceptions have been Willie Nelson, Wynonna Judd, and Faith Hill.
    • In the original series, the celebrity who made the first attack often lost (but not always). This formula does not seem to be present in the new series.
      • However, another way of the fight going in the old series was that the winner attacked first then the loser attacked making it seem that he/she was going to win. Then the tables turn and they lose.
    • Any time a politician appeared on the show, they inevitably died or were dismembered before the show was over. Al Gore, Ronald Reagan, and Hillary Clinton were the only ones to have escaped this fate so far.
    • When a New Zealander is faced on the show, they always win. No exceptions have been noted yet.
    • Whenever a member of the cast of Jackass is in a fight they usually win - Johnny Knoxville vs. Ben Stein, Jason "Wee-Man" Acuña vs. Verne Troyer and Bam Margera vs. Tony Hawk. The only exceptions are Don Vito was only on jackass once and it was less than a minute who lost to fellow Jackass castmate Bam Margera, and Steve-O, who lost to Andy Milonakis.
    • Everytime a CDM member fights in the show(Debbie Matenopoulos,Stone Cold Steve Austin,Mills Lane and Nick Diamond),the CDM member always wins. Johnny Gomez finally had his chance when he tag-teamed with Nick Diamond to fight Sam Donaldson, in the Season 4 episode, "A Celebrity Deathmatch Special Report".
  • The show made several British Nike commercials that only aired in England.
