Proposed deletion[edit]

I have removed the "proposed deletion" template, that was added within a few minutes of my first publishing the article, because no reasons were given on this discussion page, except the implied "no notability" reason. However, in the lead section and in the body of the article the Affair of Fielding and Bylandt is given as such. I think this kind of ambush is unfair. This was a first draft. I should be allowed too give some additional sources, which I am now about to do.--Ereunetes (talk) 21:44, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blackmail incident[edit]

The Newgate Calendar of 1779 describes the conviction and execution of James Donally for extorting money "by the vilest of all insinuations, from the Honourable Charles Fielding". Perhaps it could be added to an appropriate section of the article. --Pinar (talk) 04:15, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
