Clean Up[edit]

I think the Discussion area should be cleaned out. A lot of questions that have been answered and such should be removed.

Contestants?[edit]

It says that there will be 13 contestants, but there are only 11 listed, with no source. Can someone source this? Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 20:38, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever put Becky as "Risk" in the fifth episode obviously was not paying attention to what they were doing. Can someone please change this, since I can't?

Show title[edit]

can someone change the title to the show at the top, the official name for the show is Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School

Done. Real96 01:36, 20 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Spoiler Removal[edit]

How can you have listed a castmate expulsion if the show hasn't even aired yet? I think this should be removed, correct me if Im wrong in this but it is not common knowledge yet, and is gone.

An expulsion is not actually shown of the contestant. We are just preparing the wikitables for the call out orders. Real96 02:57, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It has aired already

If you read the note on top of this page, you'll see that episodes air (with the exception of the first episode AND possibly the season /series finale) at 12:00 noon on Sundays. The article is going to be updated during the 12:00 PM airing so if you don't want to see who is out, wait until after the more publicized airing at 10:00 PM.

I understand about the 12pm airing of the show, but being how the 10pm airing is "more publicized" as stated above, wouldn't it make more sense to wait until after that particular airing?-PeAchBaCon 02:41, 4 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is for information, and it makes sense to have the latest, confirmed, information as soon as possible, so if you don't want to know before the 10pm airing, then don't come look at the wiki...-Thelordnyax 06:03, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bootz[edit]

In the article it calls Bootz "The New York hater", but it's actually supposed to be just "The hater". Can someone change this please?

Comments about article[edit]

I don't like how the table is set up right now. Although all of the losing teammates could have been eliminated, in the end it only came down to three (Leilene, Darra and Thela). I think it's a bit of a disservice to gloss over that information in the table. Also, I am really not a fan of the Easter-esque pastel colors used; can we agree to use maybe some other colors more in the primary range? Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 07:28, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Added invisible notes in two places regarding Flavor of Love names versus real names: it has been established on this show that real names will be used (regardless of what the actual girls might inadvertently blurt out), and since their Flavor of Love names are explained in two other areas in the article, it should not lead to confusion, therefore real names should be used in describing contestants from this point forward. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 07:42, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also converted the list of introductions ("the hater," "the crier," etc.) into prose, and linked to the "offending" areas which would tell readers why they're here in the first place. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 08:09, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Also changed the contestants area from a long list to a compact table with Flavor of Love names, eliminations from that show, and from this one. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 08:25, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nice job with the formatting, Mike! Real96 08:40, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think there are way too many colors on the table right now. 7 seems too much, and it's really overdoing it. Instead of 7 different colors, I think there should only be three for the following; "risk" "win" and "out." I believe that if a contestant was safe, their respective box should simply be empty. If the reader would like to know more details, such as who was asked to be a judge or who was benched and essentially at risk for expulsion, they should read the episode recap, as that is what it is there for. OmarRoshan

Episodes[edit]

I like how the episodes are summarized, but after a while won't the summarizes clutter the page? There should be a separate page with the episodes and their descriptions. Jaydeejj 18:45, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

They definitely need shortened up. Just state maybe a paragraph summary and state who got out.Tinkleheimer 20:50, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, the episodes should not be on separate pages. We had problems with this on the I Love New York (TV series) page. Also, the episodes should be listed by a verifiable source, (specifically TV Guide). Real96 00:05, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Table Formatting[edit]

I only have a problem with a couple things. In the last 2 episodes, a girl has been asked to step back while still being in the bottom 3. I think this is the same as being at Risk, and should stay that way.

The other thing was instead of saying (Unique to Courtney), we can just omit it. And we can make it less broad. Say something along the lines of, "This contestant did not participate in the competition, allowing her to be safe from expulsion."

Please give opinions. Tinkleheimer 17:20, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with both. You can implement the changes if you like. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 20:20, 8 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The girls who are "asked to step back" were still in the bottom to begin with, so the color code should be the same. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 22:22, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I know I've already posted this above, but hopefully somebody will respond. We're now at NINE colors in the table, and it's just too much. Whoever is continuously adding colors to the table is trying to have the table a table, and an episode description. Bu the problem is, we already have a place for episode description, and another place for tables. As stated previously, I think there should only be three for the following; "risk" "win" and "out." I believe that if a contestant was safe, their respective box should simply be left empty. If we're going to have the table as is, then the table and episode description, which are separate, need to be erased. OmarRoshan

It is too much. I believe there should be four: "win," "safe," "risk," and "out." There does not need to be any special colors for special challenges. That should be explained (and already is) in the summaries. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 04:01, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the colors, finally! I put a comment in there so hopefully people will see it and not do anything. Keep an eye out and revert any changes that makes it more than 3-4 colors. Tinkleheimer 03:33, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Link to blog[edit]

One external link is to a blog about the show. What significance does this have and why should it be kept? I was under the impression that blogs should not usually be kept as external links in articles. Panfakes 12:52, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If it's an external link and doesn't assert notability, then it's considered an unreliable resource. Real96 08:45, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Removed. Real96 08:47, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Saaphyri's Nickname[edit]

I do not understand why Saaphyri has a nickname. Saaphyri is her legal first name and if she never recieved one, why does she have one? Putting "Saaphyri" in the NickName column doesn't make sense. That is like saying "Hello, my name is Sarah, but everyone calls me Sarah." In conclusion, I think that the box in the row "Saaphyri" and the column "Flavor of Love NickName" should say "no nickname recieved" or simply left blank.

For now, I added a note about her nickname to the table, similar to how it was done on the page for Flavor of Love (Season 2). --kudsy 08:29, 21 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode 7[edit]

MTV will be airing episode 7 on Monday at 11 p.m. (God knows why). This throws a wrench into the "update on Sunday" routine. I think we should make a consensus right now; are we going to update the article on Monday or wait for Sunday? Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 09:26, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is tough. I think we should report the results after Monday. WP:CRYSTAL is not violated because the episode has already aired. And, the results would be linked anyway. Real96 09:32, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I edited the table for Episode 7. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 04:10, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode Two[edit]

It says "Heather was made fun of for freaking out about the dresses, and everyone laughed."

Actually Brooke was made fun of. Could someone with older registration than mine please change this. Thank you. Kidlitfan 06:08, 28 May 2007 (UTC)kidlitfan[reply]

Ah, you're right. Okay, I will change it right now. Thanks for catching that! --kudsy 09:11, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merge from List of Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School episodes[edit]

On a deletion discussion about List of Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School episodes, about half the editors there suggested a merge, so I bring that discussion here.

Personally I think that merging is a good thing to do, as the list as too much detail, suffering from recentism, as the warning on the top of this talk page clearly shows. Enjoy! - Nabla 16:43, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NO, merging the article will clutter the entire article, and most popular television programs have an article just for the episodes just for that purpose. (In other words, don't create a clusterfuck.Thx2005 19:49, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

NO merging. It would clutter the article. Zaque 24 18:18, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Becky[edit]

Why does it say she is the winner? The finale hasn't aired yet.

It just says that she won that specific competition, she was voted the Best representative of Charm School at the dance...If you'd notice, there's at least one winner on each episode...Thelordnyax 06:23, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Somebody had edited the results to say that Becky won the whole thing. I fixed it. 74.229.215.99 06:58, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Episode on Vspot[edit]

Since I do not have an account, I will just type my question here. The results from the episode "Tore Up from the Floor Up" have already been revealed on VH1's site. Can someone please fix the table to keep it updated?

Here are the results, btw: No one won the challenge. ETA: However, Becky was voted best Charm School representative at the prom, so she technically did win a challenge. Becky-Win Shay-Safe Leilene-Risk Saaphyri-Risk Brooke-Out

Thanks! :) ~Drew

No, the results should not be placed in the article. First, I fail to see a reliable source with these results. Second, we should avoid speculating a future episode. Miranda 02:11, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No Proof so we can't add.

However, I do not fail to see a reliable source. (I did say it was from VH1's site.) And do not assume that I am speculating, considering, well...I'm not. If you need specifics, here is the link:

http://www.vh1.com/vspot/player.jhtml?id=1561815&launchedFrom=/shows/dyn/charm_school/118279/episode.jhtml

No need to be so condescending...

Thanks! :) ~Drew

Again, I fail to see a reliable source, so the information will not be added until the episode is shown. Miranda 00:59, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What! Since you gave me the link to a "reliable source," let me copy and paste the context the section that asks "What is a reliable source?"

Reliable sources are credible published materials with a reliable publication process; their authors are generally regarded as trustworthy, or are authoritative in relation to the subject at hand.

The reliability of a source depends on context; what is reliable in one topic may not be in another. A world-renowned mathematician may not be a reliable source on topics of biology. In general, a topic should use the most reliable sources available to its editors.

Miranda, did you not see the video, released from the most trustworthy place for a VH1 show (www.vh1.com), that clearly has Mo'nique expelling Brooke? I think that is pretty credible. Do you think VH1 would release a video that blatantly lied about who would be expelled? C'mon, VH1 is the most authorative source in relation to the subject at hand. Please, let's get real.

Thanks! :) ~Drew

I agree with Drew. He has filled your request for reliable source. If the show premeires on VH1 and VH1 is showing the episode to the open public, shouldn't the results be shown? Otherwise, VH1 wouldnt leak thier own show episode one thier own webaite, correct? That would be the same as a thief stealing from her own bank account and telling the police she did it, and she's a cop herself!

Bryan M. :]

The results will be added after the show airs tomorrow. I fail to see a link (not, just vh1.com), because that encompasses a wide arrange of possibilities. Miranda 22:06, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Umm...I'll post the link again. http://www.vh1.com/vspot/player.jhtml?id=1561815&launchedFrom=/shows/dyn/charm_school/118279/episode.jhtml

If you looked at two posts before this, I gave the specifics, not just vh1.com. Did you not look at the link? The only thing the link has are the "wicked shorts" which in act 5 you can clearly see Brooke being expelled...I'm sorry, but I do not understand your point.

However, I am sorry for being fresh with you in our first encounter. My friend had died that day in a car crash, and I was in a VERY bad mood. I will admit that I should have been able to control my temper.

And thanks Brian for validating my point.

Thanks! :) ~Drew

Saw the link yesterday, the episode wasn't there. Saw the link today, the episode was there. I or someone else will update the page tomorrow after the show airs on television. Miranda 01:16, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Winning a Challenge vs. Winning the Competition[edit]

I just have a question. Since we all ready have a word that says "Win" if you win a challenge, what will be the word in the expulsion chart when one of the women wins the competition? Some people would mistakenly think she only won the challenge and not the actual competition. And one word should not define two occurances. Just a thought...

Thanks! :) ~Drew

Ummmm, haha good point. How about "Queen?" That's what the title of the winner on the show will be, right (Queen of Charm School)? Otherwise I have no clue O.o --kudsy 04:38, 22 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I like that idea. :D ~Drew

Bold text=Expulsions for Ghettin' Phabulous= I worry so much about this article...well, for the expulsions on the season finale, it states that each girl will end up having a place in the competition. The first expulsion is after a Q&A, the second after the three remaining girls make speeches, and finally, the last elimination. If we do it the way we did it with Schatar and Darra, people will think they three were eliminated at the same time. I have a suggestion for this. How about we have a 10A, 10B, and 10C?

Thanks! :) ~Drew

I don't think we really need to make note in the table. The episode summaries will do that just fine. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 05:27, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the person above,.. the footnotes on the table aren't at all necessary

Goofs[edit]

I just took the Goofs Section out. It really isn't needed. Uhh if you feel different, respond thus so in the Talk Page. Tinkleheimer 05:38, 8 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Season 2[edit]

I don't want to go against the policy and all. My question... is there going to be a 2nd season? Because at the reunion, they were like hyping that their was going to be a another season!!! Anybody know? I'm just asking. --  ThinkBlue  (Hit BLUE) 00:35, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the season two section, because it is not confirmed. Miranda 17:54, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I did hear on Media Take Out.com that they were going to do a season 2 of Charm School but this time with men. It was also said to be hosted by Jamie Foxx but I highly doubt that will happen or at least I hope not. He doesn't fit. 69.154.182.25 (talk) 02:50, 25 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I heard that the "Charm School: Season 2" was about the guys from both seasons of "I Love New York". I knew that it was gonna happen in a long time. I knew Chance was gonna be in it, too. I think the producers are recording the show from now until July. Also, next to Cristal's name under Episode 4, its suppose to say "Eliminated". Please fix it someone. Now! Thank You! =)

Fair use rationale for Image:FOLCharmcast.jpg[edit]

Image:FOLCharmcast.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

I don't understand? why were the pictures of the cast removed for both FOL and ROL charm school seasons? Andrew097 (talk) 07:57, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redundancies[edit]

Currently, the contestants are listed in two different sections, which both list when they were eliminated. I suggest that the two tables be combined (like I have done so with I Love Money), as having it this way is very redundant. Ophois (talk) 02:56, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Surreal Life[edit]

This series is part of the VH1 Celebreality television series, and is not part of The Surreal Life. As such, it is appropriate to include {{Celebreality}}, but less appropriate to include {{The Surreal Life}}. It is certainly inappropriate to replace Celebreality with Surreal Life. Thanks! Plastikspork (talk) 04:35, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No. The Surreal Life is the root show that beget Charm School, therefore the Surreal Life template (which notes Charm School) must stay on the article. Leave it alone. —The Real One Returns 04:58, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
Before we discuss it's inclusion, explain why you are removing the Celebreality series template. Thanks! Plastikspork (talk) 13:06, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Leilene and Saaphyri at the Final?[edit]

In the Episodes Progress table it says that Leilene was OUT in Week 10 and Saaphyri WIN Winner. I don't get, in the finals Leilene was not expelled. It's just that she was not crowned as a winner since Saaphyri was instead. Blueknightex (talk) 10:59, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
