I agree in this particular case, but in some cases the acronym should stay (e.g. ZAKA) because there's no official translation of the long name and therefore we can't use it for the article title. Either that or it's very uncommon to refer to a subject by the full name. Actually this may be the case here. -- Ynhockey(Talk) 18:35, 31 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree as well. The current title, "Chief of General Staff (Israel)," sounds awkward without the determiner "the." It should be "Chief of *the* General Staff."—Biosketch (talk) 12:03, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
