Papal envoys[edit]

We seem to have a dispute on whether to include the names of the companions of the papal envoy, Lawrence of Portugal. PHG says one thing, citing Roux.[1] Aramgar says another, citing Rachewiltz.[2] I don't currently have access to either source, but my recommendation is that we remove the disputed information. It's not that useful to this particular article, and is of a level of detail that isn't needed. Please take the dispute to Talk:Lawrence of Portugal and work it out there, not here. --Elonka 07:46, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Merge[edit]

Though I think the overall topic is definitely worthy of an article, upon review, the articles appear to be near duplicates of each other. I therefore recommend that "Roman Catholicism in Asia" be merged into "Christianity in Asia", and the old title can be setup as a redirect. Anyone have an opinion on this? --Elonka 06:09, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Catholicism being part of Christianity :)) it is normal that some of the content from Roman Catholicism in Asia might be reproduced in Christianity in Asia, although it should be so in summary form. For somebody with time and freedom, it should be possible to add a lot about Protestant missions to Asia in Christianity in Asia, and develop Roman Catholicism in Asia with the works of the Paris Foreign Missions Society for example. Both articles are part of their own systematic series (see Roman Catholicism in Africa, Roman Catholicism in Europe), and thus deserve to stand in their own right. China[edit]

I was surprised to see that this article does not yet have a section for Christianity in China. I've added it as a "seealso" for now, but we should definitely include a summary section on it. --Elonka 06:23, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Saint Thomas Christians[edit]

I've been putting a lot of work into cleanup on this article, but I see that someone reverted my changes to the Saint Thomas Christians section. There's no explanation as to why, so I've restored the condensed version. If there's a concern, please bring it up at the talkpage? Thanks, --Elonka 19:03, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Kyrgyzstan[edit]

The percentage of Christian and the percentage of Muslims in the data table for Kyrgyzstan add up to over 100% - someone might want to check the sources on those! 90.211.36.88 (talk) 18:00, 28 December 2015 (UTC)S
