Peaceful, Lowland[edit]

Why do you call Clan Fergus(s)on a peaceful and a lowland clan? Presumably the Scots all came from Ireland and Fergus was the first king of the Scots. Dalriada may have been in what is now known as a lowland area but the Scots including the Fergus(s)ons moved to wherever (including the highlands)in Scotland. The Fergus(s)ons were also involved in more than peaceful exercises, as wereScots in general. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.64.224.111 (talk) 23:47, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The word "peaceful" doesn't appear to be used in the article. Apparently the seat of the chief is in Ayrshire, so i think that's why his clan is listed as "Lowland".--Brianann MacAmhlaidh (talk) 06:44, 6 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name suggestion[edit]

Can we maybe change from "Fergusson" to "Ferguson? Its way more popular in both Scotland and Northern Ireland. Sealguy13 (talk) 12:56, 19 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

No, the clan name is supposed to be the same as how the chief spells it which is Fergusson.QuintusPetillius (talk) 19:26, 21 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
