Explanation of the Common Name?[edit]

What does "cloven-feathered" even mean? I had to read that 3x because my brain wanted to make it "cloven-footed" like devil-footed. So how are feathers cloven? What's special about them? 70.51.89.211 (talk) 01:32, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
