I want to make this page the best resource for the coach convertibles that were available from '77-'90. If you have questions or comments, send them to me at kcdesoto1 @ or type them in this discussion area for everyone to read. Please, do not correct the main article unless you have proven documentation on the information you are providing. We all want this to be as complete and accurate as possible, so your information is valued. Thanks. Slimwhitman (talk) 15:05, 13 September 2008 (UTC)slimwhitman

for the U.S market[edit]

I think putting "(for the U.S market)" in the section titles is counter-productive. What do we do with conversions of the Toyota Celica by Schwan (Germany), Tropic (Germany), Griffith (US,UK) and Matrix (US,Australia)? Examples of these are at I'm guessing that most of the examples in the article so far are American because that is your area of expertise. I remember seeing many conversion companies mentioned in old magazines (which I no longer have). Hopefully somebody will start adding some European examples such as the Karmann 356, Type 1 and Volkswagen Karmann Ghia cabrios. Much better to leave "for the U.S market" off and then put the country/countries on the line for the manufacturer. Stepho-wrs (talk) 22:36, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

For the U.S. Market[edit]

Stepho-wrs, Those are great comments. I agree that there needs to be information added on the convertibles from other markets, but I am not the expert on them. I think the better way to include them would be to add new sections to the article for each market (Australia, England, Germany, etc) and let the regional experts for those areas add what they know. I think it would get confusing if they were mixed into the U.S. listings. Great idea! --Slimwhitman (talk) 18:25, 21 May 2010 (UTC)
