This article has been victim of censorship by Peripitus

He removed items that the administration of the school would have considered an embarrassment: - The designated smoking area took on the name The Smoke-pit among smokers in the student body. a nickname that arose after the snakepit, inspired by the school mascot - the cobra.

- As with the rest of the province, it is not uncommon for the graduation rate to be low. Typically one quarter to as high as one third of students here do not graduate in the normal amount of time this quotation is based on fact; ~25% did not graduate in 2000. This is actually an alberta-wide problem, and should not be swept under the rug.

- I've scrubbed the rubbish and the article is now a Verifyable stub. May fail notability as the only thing I can find on the school is an environmental program a few years ago but we have lots of articles on schools with this problem. Someone in Alberta will hopefully be able to expand this Peripitus 12:35, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

- The incidence of smoking among students at Cochrane high, that is any type of tobacco use, is very high, still at about 50% in the early 2000's

- The 1999-2000 school year was the first year that an school soccer league existed in the Rockyview School Division. Mr. Elbel, a french immersion teacher, was a large driving force to get this sport started. The boy's team subsequently won the league title that summer under the coaching of Mr. Elbel and Mr. Appleby. Fuck sakes. Why censor this? Soccer is just as important as football.

- I object to removing references to drug culture in the student body. Marijuana use is striking in teenagers in the calgary area. Furthermore, the issue of marijuana prohibition is reoccurring news in Canada.

Improvements and Emendations

[edit]

I am not totally sure whether this page meets WP:NOTE. But, in lieu of further study of that questions, I have made radical revisions to the text to eliminate totally spurious and unreferenced information. As always, I certainly welcome feedback. —Matheuler 00:01, 4 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
