I removed the following content from the article since it appeared to be dropped in without any flow into the existing text, and because it looked like marketing copy. Perhaps someone can integrate it with the article—but it will need to be properly sourced (as does the rest of the article) since it contains a lot of questionable health claims. alanyst /talk/ 05:24, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Real Coconut Cream is cold pressed directly from the meat of the mature coconut. The Mature coconut is dehusked and the meat is shredded and cold pressed in a slow turning mechanical press. The resulting thick liquid is "true" "real" coconut cream. This coconut cream contains all of the "Live" nutrients, enzymes, oils and fats that make it one of the most healthy foods available.

Real Coconut Cream contains mostly medium chain fatty acids (MCFA) that do not have a negative affect on Cholesterol and help to protect against heart disease. MCFA help to lower the risk of atherosclerosis and heart disease. It is primarily due to the MCFA in Coconut Creams' "Oil" that makes it so special and so beneficial to a persons overall health.

Coconut Cream is also the most powerful solvent a person can take for breaking up stored hardening in the body such as stored plaque due to cooked fats, cooked cholesterol and medications. This is crucial. Plaque hardening of the arteries, nerve endings, brain and lymph (just to name a few areas) is one of the most difficult stored toxins to remove. Coconut cream will do this.

There are also other types of manufactured Coconut Cream that can be made by heating the coconut meat and seperating the cream, water and oils, however this "process" kills of most of the beneficial enzymes and nutrients.

I think the process for creating coconut cream is ok in the above article however there may be a need to build in other methods used by different communities whom livelihoods depend on coconut creams over past centuries under food security. I also a native user of coconut cream. Monuina! Sioneholof (talk) 22:03, 21 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
