Query[edit]

Re "strictly it is an approximation of standard deviation, the does not make the assumption of homogeneity of process over time that the standard deviation make" should there be a word between the and does? ϢereSpielChequers 22:02, 3 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not all control charts are Shewhart charts Comment[edit]

the opening sentence says 'also known as Shewhart charts'. That's incorrect; Shewhart's chart is just one of several types of control chart (consider cusum, manhattan, moving range, moving average etc). I'd suggest _either_ removing this from the intro and covering different chart types in separate subsections _or_ re-titling the article 'Shewhart chart' and linking to other articles for other QC chart types. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Slrellison (talkcontribs) 18:36, 19 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
