edit·history·watch·refresh Stock post message.svg To-do list for Coral Springs, Florida:

There are no active tasks for this page

Here are suggestions offered by Alan.ca to improve this article:

    • Find GFDL replacements for the Seal and Logo for the City. Consider convincing the city to release a low resolution version under GFDL. Alternatively, the images could be removed.  Done Not really done, but one of the images was uploaded by a city staffer and I have an e-mail authorizing the use of the second, even if not under GFDL; this is in line with other City FAs.--Legionarius 17:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Apply WP:LEAD to lead paragraph.  Done Horologium t-c 13:27, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Remove the sister cities section. If information is required, integrate it elsewhere.  Done by Horologium--Legionarius 17:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Consolidate section headings, TOC is too long, consider merging media and culture, etc.  Done by Horologium --Legionarius 17:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
    • Include a representative picture, such as a skyline or landmark for the infobox.  Done--Legionarius 17:06, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

    Lede expanded[edit]

I finished expanding the lede, which was the last of the projects for this page. I'll wait a few days, then submit it for a FA review. If anyone points out problems with this article before then, I'll hold off so we can address them. I don't want to submit this article for FA over and over again. Image copyright problem with Image:BrowardCounty Logo.gif[edit]

The image Image:BrowardCounty Logo.gif is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

    • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
    • That this article is linked to from the image description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --23:54, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

    Coral Springs and 9/11[edit]

At 15:44, 20 March 2015, I inserted the following text, which was reverted after an hour and a half: "Despite this reputation (or probably ''because of it''), [[Mohamed Atta]], one of the [[September 11 attacks|9/11]] terrorists, managed to hide out there for about a month, undetected. From April 11 to sometime in mid-May, 2001, he lived at Unit 122 in the Tara Gardens apartment complex, at 10001 West Atlantic Boulevard.<ref>[http://www.911myths.com/index.php/Mohamed_Atta_Timeline Atta's movements before the attack]</ref><ref>[http://coralsprings.com/frontpage2/attacoralsprings.htm "A Terrorist Amongst Us" feature from the city website]</ref>"

I know this edit is POV, but why else was it reverted? Is it appropriate to include the 9/11 connection in the article on the city? What do you think? 162.104.213.40 (talk) 00:31, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

I reverted it because it was pov. This is the diff for the actual edit [1]. Coralsprings.com is not the city's website, and the other reference is fringe in the extreame. This does not belong in any wikipedia article, and your editorializing on the already poor info doesn't either. And it being pov is plenty of reason to revert it on its own.John from Idegon (talk) 00:58, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
