Erroneous statement[edit]

The opening paragraph states for the Cotentin Peninsula "its northern coastline was the site of the famed World War II invasion of Hitler's Fortress Europa by the Allies on D-Day,"

This would appear to be factually incorrect. The D-day beaches were on the north-facing coast of Normandy to the east of the Cotentin peninsula.Eregli bob (talk) 14:26, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Thanks. Have edited to reflect that only Utah Beach was located on the Cotentin coast. Man vyi (talk) 15:08, 28 February 2010 (UTC)

Pronunciation?[edit]

How is this pronounced in English? The same as in French? 75.142.253.243 (talk) 05:41, 23 April 2014 (UTC)
