The addition of councillor Mark Kerr[edit]

The addition of this individual makes no sense.

The addition of Mark Kerr does not seem to belong on this wiki page. He has been added for being arrested? This is not a reason to be a notable person, as it is not something worthy of fame, acknowledgment, or accomplishment. Should we add all councilors and add all individuals that have been arrested or convicted? This doesn't seem right to me.

Also of today, this person is not been found guilty, and this addition in being on a Wikipedia page means that this individual's name is readily accessible. This was also added by one anonymous individual, who could easily be doing this as some sort of attack on this councillor.

Please feel free to add any thoughts on this. Cerealise (talk) 01:20, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, particularly since the source doesn't mention Croy. I think it is a fair addition to the Kilsyth (ward) article (where it is already present) as the arrest affects his status as a councillor, which the source does state, and he was already named there due to being elected. But as you say, being arrested (never mind convicted) doesn't confer notability to be added to other pages. Crowsus (talk) 01:31, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
