Former good article Dalberg Global Development Advisors was one of the Social sciences and society good articles, but it has been removed from the list. There are suggestions below for improving the article to meet the good article criteria. Once these issues have been addressed, the article can be renominated. Editors may also seek a reassessment of the decision if they believe there was a mistake.

Suggested Links[edit]

Hello everyone,

I have a COI so I don't want to edit the article directly. But I think there's quite a lot that could be done to make this a better article.

1) Broad notability

The couple of links so far do, I think, demonstrate a degree of notability. Dalberg's news coverage seems mainly to come as a result of reports and work with other organisations, rather than outright profiles of the company, but I found two stories of interest:

http://www.businessweek.com/smallbiz/content/jun2011/sb20110621_158462.htm and the slideshow it links to

http://www.expatriate.co.za/index.php/articles/38-profiles/215-kc-rottok.html - a profile of Dalberg's past Global Managing Partner, in a South African magazine

2) Controversy

There were some media rumblings about Dalberg over the work it did in Haiti, including a Rolling Stone article (much of which the firm said was wrong) and a follow-up Reuters blog:

http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/news/how-the-world-failed-haiti-20110804

http://blogs.reuters.com/felix-salmon/2011/08/24/haiti-dalberg-vs-rolling-stone/ (includes link to company statement)

Have to be careful not to give this undue weight - it was four years ago - but it was nevertheless media coverage about Dalberg, rather than as a result of Dalberg's work, and so might warrant a sentence or two.

Hope that helps a disinterested editor! Hypnotist uk (talk) 11:38, 3 February 2015 (UTC)

A lot of improvement would occur if broken links would be fixed. Pbogdude (talk) 14:18, 18 March 2015 (UTC)
