Why does this redirect to one of his shows?

Things I cut, and a few more suggestions[edit]

Just finished a copy edit, and thought I'd explain a few things I cut:

  • "The city was in the deep south and Povenmire grew to understand how natives of the area acted.[1] "

I couldn't see why this one was in here: it could go back in if someone can account for its relevance.

  • "Povenmire also has a cat named Sprocket, who disappears every say to "live a double life" with the neighbors in an attempt to get second helpings of meals.[2] Occasionally, his band and fellow cartoonists, including Larry Stone, stay over in his homestead.[3] His favorite movie is The Incredibles and is a fan of Spongebob Squarepants, which he finds "funny."[4]"

Having a cat, having friends over to stay, and thinking Spongebob is funny didn't seem remarkable enough to me for encyclopedia inclusion.

I'd suggest a rewrite of the lead section, too, to focus more on the impact of his work rather than covering every stage of his life. Otherwise, looking good! Well done to all the article contributors. Gonzonoir (talk) 15:37, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Thanks! I'll check into it all. The Flash {talk} 16:21, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
