Is the same dance that was done with the lower arms and legs on fire last week the Chhau dance? If so, is this fire included in the traditional dance as well? Wiki-uk (talk) 04:57, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Organization of this article[edit]

The organization of this article is lacking. I really do not see the point of having a section stating the contestants place in the TOP 12, and current contestants, it seems like a waste of space, when they can be put into 1 list.

Also the current contestants section is completely unnecessary as anyone can see who is still in the competition by viewing the elimination chart.

As well what happened to all the information from the first elimination chart and the wild card rounds? Trinindian83 (talk) 16:18, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Song Index Section[edit]

Who removed the song index section? If you had a problem with it...you should have discussed it HERE. I thought it would be a useful tool, especially for amateur dancers to learn dances to their favorite songs...I am going to reinstate this section, so please do not remove it without talking about it here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.231.252.135 (talk) 18:58, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Any information about the prize[edit]

What is the 1st prize amount ? What is 1st runner up amount etc.

Merge seasons here[edit]

Support the merge of seasons 2, 3, 4, to this article. None has sufficient content from third party sources which indicates WP:GNG for a stand alone article, and the content can appropriately be covered here without being TOOLONG. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 13:32, 24 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I support the merger. In truth, it should be little problem to find enough sources to support GNG for any season, but given the limited amount of content in each, it makes sense to gather it in one central location. However, if this article is going to built into an overview of the entire series, I'd like to suggest maybe un-deleting the grand finalists chart, since it is a succinct and organized way of summarizing that information. That would allow each of the sections for the individual seasons to be minimized to brief descriptions, using the content currently found in their leads and any other relevant details unique to those seasons. Snow (talk) 09:10, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
the winners of each season can be identified in the lead. There is no encyclopedic value in identifying 5th and 6th place for every year. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:33, 21 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
With respect, my friendly penne, that seems rather drastic. The table doesn't take up much room and the active consensus for just about every article on a competition television show of this sort (of which we have hundreds) is that lists of contestants are of encyclopedic value. Indeed, if you're going to have an article on such a show, there aren't many facts more relevant than who starred in it; that strikes me as very much encyclopedic content, same as a list of actors in a dramatic presentation. And we're not even talking about listing the contestants at length -- just the grand finalists. I can't really support the merger if it's going to mean removing meaningful (if not exactly deep) information like that. Can I ask you to reconsider as a matter of compromise? Snow (talk) 00:50, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
if you can show me that any third party sources cared about any of the contestants other than the winners after the series by talking about when they were removed then I will believe that you have potentially encyclopedic information. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:29, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I support a merger. The seasons don't seem to have enough notable information to warrant their own pages. Pbericcc (talk) 23:53, 9 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
