See also[edit]

Is not a link farm and the links are not neccessary. Please stop adding these back. If there are relevant, incorporate them into the article. Thank you. --70.109.223.188 (talk) 19:55, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:ALSO, The optional See also section provides a bulleted list of blue internal links to related Wikipedia articles. Like links in other embedded lists, the links in the See also section should be worked into the text where possible, and usually removed from the See also list unless that would make them hard to find --70.109.223.188 (talk) 19:57, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe start a section on their competitors, ect. Why single out just one other restaurant? --70.109.223.188 (talk) 20:14, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I am obviously late to this conversation, but I will add my input here before I delete the links. I think that the See Also section could contain a list of hundreds of competitors, and as such, should be eliminated. This also follows the common rules being used on articles. Request for articles[edit]

  • Gene Lee, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
  • Rick Cardenas, President & Chief Operating Officer
  • Chris Chang, Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer
    • Could someone create articles for these executives? Thanks!--RubyLu05 (talk) 21:48, 2 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Active Disagreements[edit]

  1. I added the following text re: Darden's cutting staff hours so as not to have to provide insurance for employees when Obamacare takes full effect in 2014:

Obamacare Controversy

In September of 2012, Darden Restaurants, Longhorn's parent company, stopped offering full time schedules to some hourly employees, and stated it may put all employees on 28 hour a week schedules in order to avoid having to provide health insurance for its employees. Employers with 50 or more employees working 30 hours a week or more will be required to provide those employees with health insurance by 2014.

The text was removed by another editor and reported as vandalism. My understanding of the dispute resolution process I don't try to make the case for why this is worthy of inclusion in the article, so I won't.08:18, 12 November 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.20.216.103 (talk)

Wow, there's no mention of one of the biggest food service stories of the year - the Darden vs. Obamacare scandal? Someone needs to add this - it's relevant and critical. 70.138.217.107 (talk) 01:54, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Red Lobster sale[edit]

Never a good idea to jump the gun and remove a unit from an article about a corporation while that unit was just announced to be in the process of being sold to another corporation. When the transaction has been completed and its done and permanent, that's the time to make such changes. DragonRouge (talk) 21:16, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Customer service.[edit]

When there are empty tables don't make guests wait 30 minutes to an hour for a table. I will avoid restaurants that think this is a good idea in the future. 2600:387:F:4519:0:0:0:5 (talk) 18:51, 24 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
