The direction of wind[edit]

"the city's industrial smokestacks are mostly on the southern side of the city, and the prevailing northern winds carry pollution into the city's residential areas." How can northern winds carry pollution from the southern side to the city??--Mongol 21:11, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of Darkhan[edit]

I'm not a mongolian speaker, but after doing some research it appears the word "Darkhan" has several meanings. One of it refers to an artisan/blacksmith/carpentry... and another one is "sacred place". As the name of the region "Дархан-Уул" (Darkhan-Uul), is translated by "Sacred mountain" (Uul meaning mountain) on its article, I think Darkhan should be translated using the second meaning as well.
