This reads like a press release from the Giannoulias campaign. I bet Giannoulias supporters have been furtively editing this. What does it have to do with Hoffman's stance on the issues that David Boren or William Rehnquist felt one way or another? Hoffman has taken Democratic ballots in every election since 2000. This article has serious neutrality issues.

Agreed. Will be editing out the offending cruft. 64.241.37.140 (talk) 00:38, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deparvid, the user who made the blatant POV edits, has been reported for possible blocking from editing this article. Wouldn't be surprised if the IP traces back to the Giannoulias campaign. 64.241.37.140 (talk) 00:47, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ha! Just added the POV check template because the article now reads like a press release from the Hoffman campaign. Starts with a description of his primary challenge against "banking heir and state Treasurer" Alexi Giannoulias, later leads a par on his time as Inspector General with a glowing quote from Trib editorial writers, &c., &c. Looks like now that Giannoulias supporters have been scared off, pro-Hoffman editors have moved in. Ahh, Illinois. Looks like this page will need close attention to get a consensus version. 75.3.125.138 (talk) 03:06, 2 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
