Merger[edit]

Hi- I added a brief sentance about the November 1997 massacre that took place at the site. Having just recently returned from Egypt, this information is important and connects an ancient site to the events of the modern world.

Hi - I have merged this article with the Mentuhotep III mortuary temple (which was just an image anyway), so that are of the monuments can be brought together in one area. Markh 12:15, August 20, 2005 (UTC)

Hatshepsut was a pharaoh in Egypt around 1473 BC-1458 from Luanda Alex hills high School

Changes[edit]

Hi, I'm kinda new round here. I'm study the language and history of ancient Egypt. I think there are too many sections and it breaks up the article. WIth your kind permission, I'll change it. James5555 04:23, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Images[edit]

Some of the images need a longer description. Location, years etc. could be added as basic information of interest. Aran|heru|nar 14:05, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

-Picture # 4 is not Hatshepsut's temple, hers has the two ramps, that is Mentuhotep II temple. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.242.65.222 (talk) 02:09, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Correcting to الدير البحري[edit]

We currently have "دير البحري" which is not only not the name, it's grammatically incorrect (an indefinite noun with a definite adjective). Someone might want to rephrase the part about it literally meaning "Northern Monastery" - as "baHri" is the adjective form of sea and so literally means towards the sea or downstream here. It is used like north(ern) in Egypt, but saying it literally means northern seems strange to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.117.246.172 (talk) 22:32, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
