Untitled[edit]

Its very unfortunate that a reputed magazine like Desh has been described as having a rightist tilt. This is proving once again that the Wikipedia is being dealt with by Bangladeshis who have no understanding things. Desh is one of the most respected magazines of the whole sub-continent.

It's right that 'Desh' can't be told a rightist magazine and being a regular reader of this magazine i can tell that it gives a snapshot of our state (West Bengal) in a given time. However, I accept that at times this magazine raises unneccessary voice against the Leftist government of West Bengal. NPOV Tag[edit]

I'm doing NPOV tag cleanup. Whenever an NPOV tag is placed, it is necessary to also post a message in the discussion section stating clearly why it is thought the article does not comply with POV guidelines, and suggestions for how to improve it. This permits discussion and consensus among editors. This is a drive-by tag, which is discouraged in WP, and it shall be removed. Future tags should have discussion posted as to why the tag was placed, and how the topic might be improved. Better yet, edit the topic yourself with the improvements.

However, even thought the above is true, It's apparent to me that this topic deserves the tag, even though no comments were made. I would suggest the editors rectify this situation. Jjdon (talk) 19:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Such value-loaded judgements like branding the reputed Desh magazine as a right wing magazine tantamounts to orthodoxy. Better say the magazine is a middle class intelligensia driven literary one, which prefers to call a spade a spade.
