Talk:Dimensionless momentum-depth relationship in open-channel flow

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Being new to wikipedia, I have just posted my first contribution, which was done as part of a course requirement for graduate engineering studies at Virginia Tech. After doing so, I received a message that the page was subject to being deleted because it was unclear as to the notability of the contribution. The article is noteworthy, in that it addresses an area of physics that relates to the flow of water in an open channel that is not covered anywhere else on the wikipedia site. Also, there are multiple contributions to the wiki that are in the process of being submitted. And finally, as this contribution has been assigned for course credit (wikipedia has an interest in contributions that have academic integrity) and will be reviewed by multiple experts in this field, these contributions will, in fact, be noteworthy contributions to the wiki, as a whole.

Page is useful, but needs to be converted to use SI units (or use both SI and imperial units). It really isn't useful to anywhere outside of the USA to have non-SI units, especially for an engineering-related article like this. Also, it should be linked to from other related hydraulics etc pages. BevanFindlay (talk) 08:26, 14 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
