Talk:Direct-response marketing

This article is rambling and full of as much "jargon" as possible. The concept of direct-response marketing is very simple. Why is the explanation so long and repetitive. (talk) 06:43, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

External links[edit]

Electronic Retailing Association Trade association for tv, radio and online retailers

why a link only to the US body

Suggest having a link to a list of international bodies Anybody may please suggest a dmoz url Sanjiv swarup (talk) 15:06, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

I looked but couldn't find a suitable DMOZ category. I'm not sure the link should stay. I left it in mainly to give readers at least one reasonable place to springboard further reading from, but I don't think it's very suitable.
Is direct response marketing even a major advertising strategy in other countries (that is - are there separate associations for direct response marketing elsewhere for a list of English language links to be built from)? -- SiobhanHansa 15:36, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
You may be correct. Let the link stay for the time being. To add balance, a link may be added to the article titled (Direct Marketing Associations). Sanjiv swarup (talk) 10:09, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Some of the links appear to be the company promotionals sales pitch and I would think we'd look more to news sites, statistics, stories not individual companies? What do you think? I don't mind lists of companies on another page or vendors, but I'm looking to see what the rules are for these types of postings on the links on the main page. Thanks.
