Adding solid refs and de-spamming this article[edit]

In this edit summary, User:Dmfelder wrote:

Article was definitely spammed on April 16. I removed some spam links, but the article lacks everything. Can we revert to prior to April 16? All references seem accurate.

Looking at the 14 Feb version (the version prior to 16 April), I'm not quite as comfortable with it. It contained a good deal of peacock & weasel words, which kept it from being a useful article.

Comparing the article's sources in the 14 Feb version to the post-17 April version to the current version, I see that the 14 Feb version had 11 poor references, the 17 April version had 7, and the current has 2. Of the five references that User:Dmfelder removed as "spam links," four of them had been in the 14 Feb "accurate" version. If they were accurate references then, why are they spam now?

Consequently, I'm reverting this last edit. I'd still like to see this article get more and better references, though. Dori ❦ (TalkContribsReview) ❦ 02:15, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Commercial references 15:04, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[edit]

There are several links in the references to commercial websites that supply equipment, but I can no longer see how to fix this (it has been a while since I last edited)

These should IMHO all be removed if someone can assist. It seems that the references have been done in a template...is this to avoid easy removal of spammy links? 247Yoda (talk) 15:04, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
