Germany / other countries(?)[edit]

The custom also exists in greater Germany (de:Genanntname), and probably other regions of Europe. It must be possible to find/check the sources to expand this article to be less Francocentric TJollans (talk) 07:54, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It is and must be Francocentric, since this is an article about the "dit" name, and "dit" is a French word. Thus this is not a general English language article on such types of names, but it is the specific case of the "dit" names. A generalized English language article should not be located at "dit name".
