First to Wear a Batting Helmet?[edit]

There were a lot of players wearing head protection before Zimmer, although it wasn't common. CessnaMan1989 (talk) 04:19, 1 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

he grew up with Pete Rose, their fathers were friends[edit]

I tried to add some interesting color to his childhood, but it's from an interview on youtube with Pete Rose, but apparently youtube is blacklisted. Here's what I tried to add

"Zimmer grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio playing sports in the same neighborhood (and high school) with Pete Rose. His father, who played on the same football team with Roses's father, owned a wholesale fruit and vegetable company, and exposed Rose to sports gambling." youtu.be/1r-nt6hTO3c?t=200 98.7.204.29 (talk) 04:59, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
