Dreams ßeta[edit]

The game beta has been delayed to 2017. AmbDreams (talk) 03:14, 24 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Genre?[edit]

Sandbox game redirects to Open world, which appears to be the wrong genre since a) it's not a genre and b) it's usually featuring an "open world" without transitions between levels/maps of the game; but in my understanding "Dreams" is going to be structured in individual "Dreams", i.e. levels/maps; thus, it's not an open world in the standard sense. Would Game creation system be more appropriate? (Compare Roblox.) Martin Kraus (talk) 15:38, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'd agree that it's not open world. I'd put Dreams somewhere in the realm of Garry's Mod and Tilt Brush. The software provides a library of items/rules to use like Garry's Mod, but it's also more of a graphics application like Tilt Brush. Super Mario Maker is a close kin. You are using a program to create things, but it isn't a general-purpose engine to make games outside the tools that are given. Given that I don't have a better suggestion, Game creation system does seem to fit. Ckoerner (talk) 17:29, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
