On air schdule[edit]

I can't see why an article on a local radio station shouldn't carry at least a rudimentary schedule. It is not an indiscriminate listing, it is relevant to the station and many stations of this type which base their programming upon preset blocks of time led by recoginized DJ's or presenters.83.71.14.66 15:03, 11 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, sorry I reverted before reading this. I hadn't realized I'd edited this page before.
Comparisons to paper encyclopedias are imperfect, but in this case appropriate: You wouldn't look in the Encyclopedia Brittanica for a radio schedule, right? According to WP:NOT, Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. I haven't found anything that refers specifically to radio or television schedules, but I'd be willing to bet that other people would back me up on this. Radio schedules are simply not encyclopedic. Cheers. --Fang Aili 16:18, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

image-needed[edit]

Removed image-needed as there is currently an image (Dublins98 logo) on this article. Jaqian (talk) 15:18, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect/Move[edit]

Since the station has changed its name from 98FM to Dublin's 98, should the page be moved or just re-directed? Jaqian (talk) 09:22, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move[edit]

The result of the move request was: Page will be at Dublin's 98, once I've sorted out the unallowed cut and paste that made 98FM! and I'll make a DAB page once that's finished  Ronhjones  (Talk) 22:46, 11 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dublin's 9898FM —Dublin's 98 is now known as 98fm. Source: http://98fm.ie . Kei_Jo (Talk to me baby! :þ) 14:56, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose as ambiguous. There is 98FM (Detroit), 98FM (KCQ) and a few others. Suggest a dab page at 98FM. Vegaswikian (talk) 02:04, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

98FM (Dublin)[edit]

The article should not be called 98FM (Ireland). IrishTV (talk) 12:07, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Toll Trolls[edit]

Seoige and O'Shea referred to at the end does not exist any more so should not be in the present tense. 86.44.71.5 (talk) 19:22, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Original awarding of licence[edit]

Should the section on the stations history not mention the controversy surrounding the original awarding of the stations broadcasting license which was the subject of a High court hearing and injunction in 1989 ? 90.213.194.216 (talk) 12:29, 3 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It was widely reported on at the time (Irish Press RTE and Phoenix IIRC) but very few online sources seem to exist now. It gets a brief mention [1] here. It concerned business and personal relationships between IRTC commission member Fred O'Donovan and applicant Denis O'Brien. The high court action was taken by a rival (unsuccessful) bidder for the broadcasting license. Netgeek-UK (talk) 10:36, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
