History sandbox[edit]

  • BASF Acquires Pyral (1992) [1]

Nomai relationship[edit]

RPS Media, formerly of the chemical group Rhône-Poulenc Systèmes, was acquired by Nomaï S.A. in September 1997. At the same time Nomai and EMTEC announced a distribution agreement where Nomaï would manufacture products under the EMTEC and RPS brands. In July 1998, Iomega purchased a controlling stake in Nomaï.

  • RPS info (fr) - according to this page, EMTEC "acquired" the RPS brand in 1997, about the same time Nomai and EMTEC struck a deal and when Nomai "acquired" RPS.

Novelty pen drives[edit]

Is this notable or worthy of inclusion?

"2011- EMTEC began creating rubber animals that separate to reveal a flash drive inside. There are multiple selections, some being a penguin, turtle, rabbit, chicken, clownfish, and dolphin."

Yeah, novelty pen drives similar to what countless Chinese OEMs have been making for years? Is this really the only noteworthy thing they've done recently?! (talk) 15:47, 4 January 2012 (UTC)
