This list, as well as many others, are being improved and maintained by WikiProject Earthquakes. These lists are not the lists that a reader would see in 2006. Those days are long gone where lists would have no definition and just about everything was accepted. I don't believe that that is the right way to build a usable and respectable encyclopedic list.
The entries on this list have been reduced to those events that had characteristics that have been defined by our WikiProject. The minimum limit for inclusion would be a yes on the following parameters: deaths, injuries, or damage. Occasionally there will be an event that has none of those things, but is acceptable because of scientific interest in the event.
To list events that do not have any of these characteristics is doing the reader a disservice and, like I said, this is the Wikipedia of 2016. We're maturing. Dawnseeker2000 03:29, 8 April 2016 (UTC)
