Walter Jervoise Scott - did he really represent Mulgrave?[edit]

I started out to write about Walter Jervoise Scott and, seeing this electoral page, assumed he was the MLA for Mulgrave. Unfortunately I cannot find any source material to support this. His other biographies (e.g. ADB) fail to mention his being an MLA. The Queensland Parliament website indicate there was indeed a Mr Walter Scott representing Mulgrave but his biographical details don't match up with Walter Jervoise Scott. It seems a rather specific name to have written by accident and WJS did have a British MP for a father and he lived in North Queensland so it's not implausible he was an MLA. Can anyone explain where the reference to Walter Jervoise Scott came from? Kerry (talk) 00:36, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The change was made in March 2010 by Helsned (talk · contribs); the link previously pointed to Walter Scott (Australian politician), a redlink at the time of page creation but since linked to the NSW MLC. I think it probable that this is a simple misidentification - needing to fix a link the user found a plausible destination. However the user is still active so it would be worth getting in touch with them to see if they had other sources. Frickeg (talk) 00:52, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Except now I see you've just created WJS. So definitely check with the user. Frickeg (talk) 02:28, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
