rationale for ems

I think there should be a section in this article referring to the rationale behind the ems industry. to find out if it was the management consultants or economic rationalists who saw opportunities for companies who made losses on excess inventory and saw manufacturing as cost centres.

economic rationalists would see it as a core competency for ems companies who have the economies of scale and specialisation to add value.

also need to mention that all the products manufactured by ems companies bear their customer's branding or corporate logos.
