Halsey[edit]

Admiral Halsey was not born in Elizabeth. He was just raised there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.156.6.148 (talk) 21:56, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Radio Station[edit]

Isn't it now WWRU and now licensed by Jersey City. Although I have past through Broad Street and in some buliding on top it says WJDM 1530. Wwenormalfan (talk) 22:02, 11 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kathleen Mary Poli Carroll[edit]

Who is this? I google searched the name and all I came up with is the entry for Elizabeth. I have a funny feeling this is just a random person from Elizabeth. Lordmichael21 (talk) 20:18, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recent IP edits[edit]

An IP keeps adding this strange, muddled text about talking about some scandal in Elizabeth. I'm not sure exactly what happened, but it sounds POV by saying the truth was "framed" and it's unsourced. Scarlettail (talk) 18:56, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fire Department Section[edit]

The number of ambulances, fireboats, etc. - all seem to be original research to me. Is there a source or reference that I am missing? ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 16:50, 31 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]

I added the word mostly in terms of Elizabeth avoiding the race riots in the 60s. That is not strictly true, While there was much less of an issue in Elizabeth, it was not riot free. There was at least one race riot in the 60s. I was a child there at the time living in the housing projects (Migliore Manor) on 1st street. Although I was there and remember it was the summer I don't recall the year. Another Wikipedia page mentions that it was in August 1964 at the same time as the riot in Patterson NJ. ([1] ). I found one newspaper reference: [2]
