A340-500[edit]

A number of IP's and users have been removing this aircraft from the table of active fleet. The only remaining aircraft, A6-ERE is still flying and is NOT withdrawn. Please see https://planefinder.net/data/aircraft/A6-ERE Please STOP removing it from the table until it has ben confirmed it is withdrawn.Me and SideshowBob7 had to keep reverting edits in which IP's/users removed it from the table. I was getting fed up of reverting edits and leaving warnings that i had no option but to request protection, and the page is now fully protected for a week. We need to resolve this by only removing the aircraft from the table when it has officially been withdrawn, which is when it flies to Lourdes for storage.

Sorry I'm new to this so don't really know where I should put this, but the reference for the entry of an A340-500 shows an Emirates fleet list with no A345 (However there are A343s) and the aircraft in question, A6-ERE, is shown as 'withdrawn' — Preceding unsigned comment added by Abhorsen1999 (talkcontribs) 07:13, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Well i haven't seen anything that says its withdrawn, including the EK Source. Class455fan1 (talk) 07:27, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry don't know how to 'reply' to text yet, as you have done. If I click on the reference (reference 7) it takes me to a page showing the fleet list, there is no A345 there, only A343s. If I then click on the A340-500 tab there is a dropdown menu there for which an entry is 'A6-ERE - Withdrawn'. Sorry if I'm being a nuisance or if I'm not supposed to be doing this, I'm just trying to help Abhorsen1999 (talk) 09:06, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The A340-500 is scheduled to fly UAE955 today and the return flight tomorrow. So it's obviously not withdrawn yet! See: http://flightaware.com/live/findflight?origin=OMDB&destination=OLBA SideshowBob7 (talk) 13:32, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect caption first picture[edit]

First picture states that the aircraft is landing, while it is actually taking-off. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.135.132.31 (talk) 07:13, 8 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

787 Orders[edit]

Greetings fellow users,

It has come to my attention that Emirates has placed orders for some 787-10s, as announced at the 2017 Dubai Airshow (https://www.emirates.com/media-centre/emirates-places-us151-billion-order-for-40-boeing-787-dreamliners-at-2017-dubai-airshow). Should these orders be placed in the table as part of their upcoming fleet, or is there some rule/policy I do not know about, thus they should be left out?

Best,

T — Preceding unsigned comment added by TrevorABrown (talkcontribs) 03:59, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

They should be placed in the table, as they are orders (I've allready done it for you) CooleoRose154 (talk) 05:07, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone please add the 787-10 order to the table, I am not too sure how to add it to the list myself Emirates 777x (talk) 11:16, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Emirates Airbus A380-861 A6-EER MUC 2015 04.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on January 11, 2018. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2018-01-11. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 01:54, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Emirates Airbus A380
An Emirates-owned Airbus A380 taking off at Munich Airport. The Dubai-based airline owns and operates 244 aircraft, including 101 Airbus A380-800s and 130 Boeing 777-300ERs, making it the largest operator of these models. It has 202 aircraft on order, including more than a hundred Boeing 777-9s.Photograph: Julian Herzog

Trivia note inclusion for the aircraft during the pandemic[edit]

That was since I also included an additional trivia note when 10 of the Boeing 777-300ER aircraft in the Emirates fleet that have been converted to mini-freighters with modified economy class cabins to meet high cargo demand during the COVID-19 pandemic, is it important to include a trivia note "for extra cargo capacity vital for high cargo demand during the COVID-19 pandemic." for that type of aircraft but during this pandemic only? Different words this time from that difference in my opinion after it was removed. I noticed that it was removed from the note box for that aircraft, which drew up my attention when I just visited this article. I believe that kind of text should be included in that aircraft note box, which why I also included that when those aircraft have been converted for more cargo to transport worldwide (e.g. food supplies, and some kind of coronavirus medical supplies as well). One last thing, when the pandemic is over, then I will remove that kind of note. --Allen (talk / ctrb) 18:40, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

So I just re-added that note back, but I hid it until you say it's necessary to have that note show up in that box, but temporarily only during this pandemic. --Allen (talk / ctrb) 00:04, 8 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Emirates have 115 A380s?[edit]

I will ask a question before making a change: Does this airline currently have 115 Airbus A380 aircraft in its fleet as of today? If this airline have 115 A380s right now according to the cited source from an official airline web page and from Planespotters.net, then I'll make a minor change from "114" to "115" (with 8 aircraft on order). This airline currently has a total of 123 A380 orders. (At least one A380 aircraft didn't left the fleet.) --Allen (talk / ctrb) 03:02, 16 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Are The New 777-9s Going to replace older 777-300ers?[edit]

By the time the new 777x's get delivered, the older 777 300 ers are going to be 8 - 14 years old. Would it make sense to add to the fleets page by saying that the older 300ers are going to be replace with the new 777-9s? And the average fleet age of an emirates fleet is 6-7 years old. And the A380 will also be replaced by the 777-9s. https://aeronauticsonline.com/emirates-plans-to-retire-airbus-a380-fleet-by-mid-2030/#:~:text=While%20the%20airline's%20A380%20aircraft,of%20Boeing's%20popular%20777%20aircraft. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Monxrchyy (talkcontribs) 15:13, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Passenger letter codes in "current fleet" chart should have explanation of meaning[edit]

It would be beneficial to include a legend or block indicating what the passenger letters in the "current fleet" chart mean as many people who read the article may not know. Clicking the current letters, at least on mobile, doesn't appear to do anything to provide any context 73.175.255.7 (talk) 01:33, 1 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
