Unexplained term: Enalaprit[edit]

I found the following discussion hard to follow, since the term "Enalaprit" had not been defined or linked:

"Enalapril is a prodrug that is converted by deesterification to converting enzyme inhibitor, enalaprilat, with effects similar to those of captopril. Enalaprit itself is available only for intravenous use, primarily for hypertensive emergencies."

After a little web research, I found two separate documents that each describe the compounds "enalaprit" and "enalaprilat" as the active metabolite of Enalapril. I conclude that "enalaprit" and "enalaprilat" may be the same; however, I am unsure. If anybody knows for sure, please emend the quoted passage to remove the confusion. yoyo (talk) 14:37, 6 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A comparison of the economic impact on the NHS of ramipril and enalapril in the treatment of essential hypertension. 1996 says that in 1996 it cost UK NHS £206 for first year and £261 pa on average. Now in 2016 it seems to be only 2p/tablet. - Rod57 (talk) 19:16, 21 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this revert, why can't the article say immediately that "Enalapril is an angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitor"? Similarly, "Formoterol ... is a long-acting β₂ agonist" (permalink). "Prednisone is a glucocorticoid medication" (permalink). "Fluoxetine ... is an antidepressant of the selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) class (permalink).
