Requested move 17 June 2023[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. The result of the move request was: not moved. Pageviews signify a primary topic here, and there's no evidence against the Victoria Cross recipient being the primary topic. (closed by non-admin page mover) Skarmory (talk • contribs) 04:24, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

– No indication that the ten-sentence entry delineating the Great War Victoria Cross recipient is primary over the combined notability of the politician stub and two WP:DABMENTIONS at the Ernest Alexander (disambiguation) page. — Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 01:10, 17 June 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. CLYDE TALK TO ME/STUFF DONE (please mention me on reply) 03:53, 24 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. He wasn't just a VC, but a general with two other honours that meet the criteria of WP:ANYBIO #1. Much more notable than the obscure politician who held a seat for six years and two others who are so obscure they don't even have articles and probably never will. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:03, 19 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. Necrothesp makes a good point. From the perspective of page views the status quo is fine ([1]). Also note that this article was significantly expanded after the start of the RM. Adumbrativus (talk) 03:10, 1 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
