Misc.[edit]

There is no citation for Everlast being Ojibwe, and I cannot find any reference to that anywhere, including at the White Earth Reservation. Where is this information from? It should be erased until somebody can come up with a citation. Nov 28 2011 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.129.203.20 (talk) 01:21, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great music on one link Ford was spelled wrong i fixed it YEAH!

Can someone verify or link to anything saying his next album is called "Eatin Chicken"? --Sycotherejekt 20:17, 3 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed a comment about the next album being a success "god willing".Mhacdebhandia 10:26, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I submitted info for Forever Everlasting. Yay for less red text! --Sycotherejekt 08:29, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is he possibly of German heritage? I mean "Erik Schrody" doesn't look like a typical Irish name to me.

I can gaurentee you he's Irish. From Soul Music, "Born American ancestry from Ireland."Lyrics Tonchiki 14:18, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can gaurentee you he's NOT Irish. His family may have an Irish background but he was born in New York, so he's American —Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.136.80.79 (talk) 19:28, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

American converts to Islam[edit]

Muslim? There appears to be an edit war occuring. Anytime someone has mentioned anything about Everlast's Islamic background or conversion, it has been removed by certain editors and anonymous IPs. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.133.210.230 (talk) 01:57, 14 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

One need to add this topic too in artilce. Khalidkhoso 03:11, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Convert? More like he just became Muslim. People talk about him converting from Roman Catholicism, that's bull. He was no more a Catholic than any kid that is just raised that way that knows nothing of the faith. Everlast, when he was supposedly a Catholic, was busy talking about gats, beating down DJ Quick, getting high.... yeah, quite the practicing Catholic he was. -Jorge —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.90.55.195 (talk) 17:48, 28 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To me it might be interesting how often he uses references to Islam in his lyrics. So far I know only one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Put_Your_Lights_On Jschoder (talk) 12:53, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:WFSTB.jpg[edit]

Image:WFSTB.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Ancestry[edit]

Not that I'd ever ask it to his face but how Irish is Everlast? One parents Irish? One grandparent? Seeing that much is made of House of Pains Irishness perhaps someone who knows could put this in the article? Cls14 (talk) 00:30, 27 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Starting of the Battle with Eminem:[edit]

In a verse on the Dilated Peoples' "Ear Drums Pop", Everlast claims that "he'll buck a .380 on those that act shady" in reference to Eminem, also known as Slim Shady

and in 'quitter' eminem says 'grab 380's when you see slim shady, call the doctor to heal your heart (reference to everlast's heart attack) the doctor shocked you back to life at the clinic but you bout to get relapsed any minute' in reference to 'hit 'em up' by 2pac where he says 'grab your glock when you see 2pac' it is much funnier than everlast. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.116.86.49 (talk) 15:26, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe this section needs some rewording... It definitely could be more concise than it is now. :) --Jasmerisah (talk) 05:35, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Citations Needed[edit]

  • This article has several references, but they are only cited in a couple of the paragraphs. Large portions of this article have no citations at all. bwmcmaste (talk) 05:19, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"I buck a .380"[edit]

It would be helpful if lyrics were translated from rappese into standard English for the benefit of those of us who are native speakers of English, and not lingua rapa. Varlaam (talk) 02:40, 6 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Possible repeated / out of place last two paragraphs of "Eminem feud" section[edit]

I am not qualified to fix it or decide what should be done, but it seems obvious to me that something is wrong.

The last two paragraphs of the "Eminem feud" section just don't seem to belong there and they seem to be almost (partially) copied from other sections. However, there is information there (like the about the heart attack) that does not seem to be repeated elsehwere.

Everlast (musician)EverlastEverlast is currently a disambiguation page, but maybe it should be the page about the musician? Then add a hatnote "For the manufacturer of boxing equipment, see Everlast (boxing)." and maybe mention the Everlasting disambiguation page. The article about the musician has 7x the views of the article about the boxing equipment. It's hard to predict the long-term significance of the boxing equipment, but the musician is likely to be the topic sought when a reader searches for that term. Both subjects are internationally known, but I think maybe the musician as a solo artist and as the front-man of former rap group House of Pain is less of an 'in-crowd' thing than specific boxing equipment. 82.136.210.153 (talk) 00:32, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Everlast discography[edit]

Support split - Discography is becoming lengthy and should be split to a new article entitled "Everlast discography". Thoughts? --Jax 0677 (talk) 09:30, 23 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Islam[edit]

The statement that he converted to Islam in 1996 is incorrect. On the last track of House of Pain's debut album, he clearly says "I'd like to thank ALLAH". He converted to Islam, therefore, between his first solo album and the first House of Pain. Matter of fact, he might gave converted to Islam during the recording of the 1990 album as I believe that album had both Christian and Muslim lyrics if I'm not mistaken. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 166.229.13.191 (talk) 15:11, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Then please find a source that backs that up. The source that's currently there says 1996, so that's what the encyclopedia says. It's entirely possible that he was toying with the idea of the faith earlier but did not do a formal conversion or complete all five pillars, etc, until 1996. Refrences[edit]

I edited the page but I'm having trouble with references, I was adding info in regards to the new Everlast album. Both under "Music And Career" (Marty Inc) and "Discorphy (however you spell that.)

Anyways here's the ref.

Personal Life[edit]

Ok while I was adding content to the Martyr Inc section and trying to ref my source, it seemed to have messed up the Personal Life section, if anyone can help fix that (and my reference link) please do so. Thanks. Butler1993 (talk) 17:11, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed your most recent addition (explanation in edit summary); please see WP:CITE for how to format citations. The info looks fine to re-add if the grammar and citation issues are resolved. Jessicapierce (talk) 17:47, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Whitey Ford's House Of Pain[edit]

Hey I had created a page for the new Everlast album Whitey Ford's House Of Pain like 2 months ago and it's still in draft form, am I doing something wrong? The album dropped yesterday so I assumed the page would've been created by now. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Butler1993 (talk) 17:33, 8 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
